Wasted! The Story of Food Waste

90 mins | Sat 10th Nov | 7:00 pm – 9:30pm | Sky Garden (4/F)

WASTED! THE STORY OF FOOD WASTE aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food.

Through the the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the world’s most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system.

WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change and shows us how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.

The film will be accompanied by a panel discussion and Q&A featuring Executive Director of Feeding Hong Kong Gabrielle Kirstein, Director of Culinary Operations and Food & Beverage of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Richard Ekkebus, Hannah Chung, Zero Waste Advocate, Jaki Faulkner, Community & Event’s Manager for Rooftop Republic and the moderator will be Dr Merrin Pearse, Sustainability Advisor with The Purpose Business.

Food and drinks are generously sponsored by Invisible Kitchen with vegan wines from Le-X-Go.
